Attorney Elissa J. Roberts is originally from Maine, and left after graduating from high school to pursue her undergraduate degree from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL. After spending a year in Florida, Elissa transferred to the University of Maryland University College in Schwaebisch Gmuend, Germany, where she finished her undergraduate career and obtained a degree in International Relations. She spent this time doing as much traveling as possible to witness as much of the world first-hand as she could.
After graduation, she went back to Germany and engaged in a Goethe Institut program in Duesseldorf, Germany before returning back to the United States. She eventually received her law degree from the University of Maine School of Law. Elissa spent her last semester of law school studying at the National University of Ireland, Galway. This time in Ireland inspired her to spend the year after law school at the Irish Centre for Human Rights, which was associated with the National University of Ireland, Galway. She received an LLM in International Human Rights Law from the National University of Ireland, Galway.
After graduation, Elissa spent two years working alongside the United States military in Kuwait. After this time she returned to the United States to raise her son, spending nearly two years in Colorado before returning to Maine, where she practiced family law for four years before returning to Colorado. In her free time, Elissa enjoys exploring Colorado and spending time outdoors with her son.
