Divorce rate dropping in Colorado

Many different difficulties can arise during a marriage. Sometimes, the difficulties are such that a couple is able to weather through them and keep their marriage strong and on-track. Other times though, the difficulties cause enough damage to the marriage that the marriage becomes unhealthy and unable to be fixed.

An unhealthy marriage can be very hard on a person. Thus, a person in such a marriage may want to get out of their situation and get a fresh start. This is among the things that can lead a person to decide to get divorced. A divorce brings a marriage to an end and deals with the various legal issues involved in splitting one married household into two separate households. Divorce attorneys can assist individuals who have decided that they want their marriage brought to an end with the various legal processes involved in a divorce.

From just a raw numbers perspective, quite a few divorces occur here in Colorado. For example, in 2013, the state saw 21,483 divorces.

However, the divorce rate in the state has actually been going down. Reportedly, in 2013, there were 4.08 divorces for every 1,000 state residents. 2013 was the second year in a row where the divorce rate dropped, and the 2013 rate was the lowest divorce rate the state has experienced in a decade.

What do you take from this divorce rate drop in Colorado? What do you think is behind the drop? What things do you think have the biggest influence on state divorce rates? Do you think the divorce rate will continue to fall in the next few years?
